What Campers Will Do Each Day

Day 1: Introduction to Drones & Flight Safety (Dronology)

Campers begin their drone journey by exploring how drones work and where they are used in the real world.

Activities include:

  • Understanding drone components and flight systems
  • Exploring careers in drone technology and aviation
  • Learning drone safety rules and responsible flying
  • Practicing pre-flight safety checks
  • First beginner flight practice

Students experience their first hands-on drone flight session while learning how professional drone pilots prepare for missions.

Day 2: Drone Flight Skills & Engineering Concepts (Dronology)

Campers begin developing real drone piloting skills while learning the science behind flight.

Activities include:

  • Understanding lift, thrust, and stability
  • Practicing hover control and directional flight
  • Completing beginner flight challenges
  • Navigating obstacle courses and flight gates
  • Learning how engineers test and improve drone performance

By the end of the day, students will be comfortable controlling a drone and understanding how flight physics works.

Day 3: Coding Your First Drone Program (AeroCode)

Campers transition from flying drones manually to programming drones using block-based coding.

Activities include:

  • Introduction to coding logic and sequencing
  • Programming a drone to take off, move, and land automatically
  • Learning loops and simple automation commands
  • Running their first autonomous flight program

Students begin thinking like engineers by writing programs that control real flying robots.

Day 4: Intelligent Drone Missions (AeroCode)

Campers learn how drones can make decisions using code, similar to real autonomous systems used in industry.

Activities include:

  • Programming drones to respond to conditions
  • Learning how sensors help drones avoid obstacles
  • Creating automated flight missions
  • Testing and debugging drone programs
  • Designing their own drone challenge missions

Students discover how coding, sensors, and engineering combine to create intelligent machines.

Day 5: Drone Mission Challenge & Graduation

Campers put everything they learned together during the Drone Mission Challenge!

Activities include:

  • Drone obstacle course competitions
  • Coding challenge missions
  • Team-based engineering challenges
  • Demonstration of autonomous drone flights
  • Final showcase event

Campers receive:

🎓 Junior Drone Pilot Certificate

🎓 Junior Drone Programmer Certificate

Families are invited to watch the final Drone Mission Showcase!
