AeroCode: Onsite Drone Coding Expedition – 2 Hours

AeroCode: Onsite Drone Coding Expedition – 2 Hours

$2,000.00 USD

This session is a fun and interactive way to introduce students to coding, computer science, and engineering while fostering problem-solving, critical thinking, and collaboration. A Certified Drone Instructor will guide students through programming drones to take off, navigate obstacles, and complete real-world-inspired missions—all through block coding!

What Students Will Learn & Do

Introduction to Block-Based Coding – Learn how programming translates into drone flight
Hands-On Drone Programming – Use a beginner-friendly drag-and-drop coding interface
Flight Automation – Write programs that control drone movement, loops, and decision-making
Problem-Solving & Debugging – Test, troubleshoot, and refine their code for smooth drone operations
Real-World Applications – Discover how coding and drones are used in industries like engineering, logistics, and emergency response

What’s Covered?

Module 1 – Introduction to Drone Coding

  • What is block-based coding, and how does it apply to drones?
  • Understanding algorithms, loops, and conditional statements

Module 2 – Coding Your First Flight

  • Programming the drone to take off, hover, land, and change directions
  • Writing simple flight commands using block coding

Module 3 – Programming a Drone Mission

  • Using loops and conditional logic to automate flight patterns
  • Adding waypoints and obstacle avoidance in block code

Module 4 – Drone Challenge: Search & Rescue Mission

  • Students will program their drone to complete a simulated rescue mission
  • Demonstrate precision flying using block-based automation

Junior Drone Programmer Certification (Optional)

  • Students can earn a Junior Drone Programmer Certificate by demonstrating:
✅ Safe drone setup & programming
✅ Writing and running a successful autonomous flight script
✅ Troubleshooting and improving their code

How It Works

  • A Certified Drone Instructor will visit your school to lead a 2-hour interactive session.
  • All drone equipment is provided, including CoDrone EDU or LiteBee Wing Drones.
  • Students work in teams to program and fly drones using block-based coding (NO prior coding experience needed!).
  • An indoor space (gym, multipurpose room, or classroom) is required for safe flying.

Each session accommodates up to 20 students.

Custom packages and multi-day programs available upon request!
