Sample Lesson
Grade Level: Grades 4–8
Instructional Time: 45 - 50 minutes
The whole curriculum is designed to be flexible and can be delivered in 45–50 minute class sessions.
Lesson Goal
Students explore the essential components of a drone, learn how each part contributes to safe and controlled flight, and apply their knowledge through hands-on flight activities.
By the end of the lesson, students will be able to:
- Identify the major components of a drone and explain their functions
- Describe basic principles of drone flight
- Demonstrate safe drone operating procedures
- Complete pre-flight safety checks
- Perform controlled takeoff, hover, and landing
- Reflect on their flight performance and identify areas for improvement
